Open the final PDF or document, select all text, copy it, and paste it into a basic editor that does not preserve layout. Start at the top and read line by line. Your name and contact details should appear once, the summary should precede experience, roles and dates should stay together, and section headings should remain recognizable.

Separate extraction defects from content problems
The test answers a narrow question: can you recover the main text in a sensible order? It does not tell you whether the resume proves the required experience, uses the right job vocabulary, or is persuasive to a person. A perfectly extracted resume can still be vague, inaccurate, or poorly targeted.
Check content after structure. For every important requirement, locate a truthful example in the resume. If the evidence exists but is hard to find, rewrite or reorder it.
